  • Do I need to bring any materials or tools?

    All materials and tools are provided on CST courses. Although each participant will need to bring their own pair of safety boots.

  • What Qualification levels are your courses?

    City and Guilds and Agored Cymru Qualifications are all delivered to Level 1.

  • What are NVQ’s?

    National Vocational Qualifications (NVQs) are designed to demonstrate a learner's occupational competence. NVQs give many people the opportunity to work and achieve a qualification at the same time.

  • Can courses be taken on a part time basis, or on Weekends and Evenings?

    Courses are delivered between 9am and 4pm Monday to Friday. We do not currently open on evenings and weekends, however CST are able to deliver flexible learning options tailored to individuals and organisations needs. Our business development team will work with you to try and find a solution to your learning requirements. 

  • Is there an age restriction on the courses?

    The minimum age to sit our courses is 16 years old, unless in circumstances where a guardian provides permission. There is no maximum age restriction.

  • What is the maximum ratio of learners to tutors?

    The maximum number of learners to tutors is 6:1 at any one time. We believe this provides all learners with a  more hands-on support and gives tutors the chance to motivate and build individuals' confidence, as well as providing learners with a safe environment.

  • When do your courses run?

    Courses start on a Monday of each week, and are set inline with the centre schedule. However always aim to be as flexible as possible to suit learners' requirements.

  • Is there any funding available?

    At present there is React funding and DWP funding available. To find out more information and to see whether you are eligible, please contact our business development team for more details.

  • What has changed in regards to CSCS testing?

    The only changes to the CSCS card scheme affects the Operatives Card, which is now the Green Labourers Card. More information about the CSCS Card & Test can be found on our CSCS page.
